Limited Edition Mitsubishi Lancer Gets Tech Upgrade

Limited Edition Mitsubishi Lancer

For 2017, Mitsubishi is offering a new trim level for the Lancer sedan that’s not only tech-savvy and available in limited quantities, but affordable, too. The Limited Edition Mitsubishi Lancer will offer drivers a number of cool, stylish features for only a little more than the base ES 2.0 trim level with a price point of $20,660. Not bad for a sedan that will offer drivers standard features such as a custom black-and-red interior, a 6.5-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and more.

The inclusion of connectivity software like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in the Limited Edition trim level brings the software to the U.S. Lancer lineup for the first time. Before, only the Mitsubishi Mirage and Outlander nameplates featured in-vehicle connectivity for smartphone users. In addition, the Lancer will also provide unique, sporty design elements and even a sunroof, allowing drivers to grab a practical, efficient sedan with a stylish vibe and high-tech upgrades for a competitive price.

The Limited Edition Mitsubishi Lancer can be found at dealerships as of late May 2017. Picking up the Limited Edition trim is your last chance to own a Lancer, as Mitsubishi recently announced it will be discontinuing the nameplate in August to focus on crossovers and plug-in hybrid technology.

Mitsubishi Sales Continue to Grow

Mitsubishi sales

Mitsubishi is headed into the height of summer with great momentum. In May of 2017, Mitsubishi sales saw an increase of 4.5% over 2016 sales. Leading the sales were the popular Outlander SUV and the compact Mirage.

Along with a monthly increase, Mitsubishi also saw year-to-date growth as well. Total sales through the end of May came in at 46,951 units. This is compared to just 43,911 during this same time period in 2016. That is an increase of 6.9%.

With a 15.2% jump in sales, the Outlander is the most popular model in the Mitsubishi lineup. It offers buyers attractive styling, one of the best warranties in the country, affordable pricing, and great fuel efficiency.

Another leader is the Mirage, which had sales growth of 11.6% in May with total sales numbering 2,342. This year, the Mirage added the Mirage G4 sedan model giving buyers even more options when searching for an affordable, reliable, feature-packed vehicle.
