Europeans are jumping on the pickup bandwagon, with a number of appealing choices creating some stiff competition. Now, the addition of Mitsubishi’s new L200 is taking the market by storm. The new European Mitsubishi L200 (also known as the Triton in other markets) marks the first new generation since 2005, bringing with it some much needed advancements in design, technology, and capability.
The sleek pickup boasts best-in-class figures on CO2 emissions, weight, fuel economy, and maneuverability – making it a standout in the European market.
The new L200 is powered by one of two versions of a turbocharged 2.4-liter diesel engine. One version puts out 152 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque, while the other cranks out 178 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque. A Super Select 4WD-II system offers four driving modes, including a basic 2WD option, an off-road capable 4WD, and everything in between.
Enhanced rear leg room, a versatile interior, and long list of features have captured the attention of the popular Carbuyer YouTube channel. Check out their review here.
