The Detroit Auto Show is still going on, but even before it started, we had a peek at what Mitsubishi had to show off thanks to the Tokyo Auto Salon.
At the Salon, the automaker unveiled two pairs of Mitsubishi off-road concepts: Outdoor Gear concepts and Active Camper concepts, both based on the Outlander PHEV and the Delica D5 minivan.
The former were instantly notable for their distinguished pearl white matte paintjob with orange trim. Inside, this carried over as a black interior with orange trim and mesh fabric seats with grippy suede trim. The Outlander Outdoor Gear concept rode on 20-inch wheels with off-road tires and received a spoiler and bike rack on the roof.
The Active Camper Concepts featured 20-inch wheels and a matte silver paint with a black camo pattern that carried on inside. The Outlander received a new body kit, a roof box, adjustable suspension, and 1,500 watts of auxiliary power.
The Delica isn’t sold in the United States, but we hope to see some of these designs in action in Outlander models to come at Heritage Mitsubishi!
